PROJECT: Building Renovation

Location:  New York, NY

Project Goal:  Covenant House commissioned Terrence O’Neal Architect LLC to renovate the “Mother and Child Crisis Center” on West 52nd Street. The 18,900 sq. ft project involved complete gut renovation of the existing building to provide temporary shelter for homeless young mothers and their babies. The facility includes 42 beds for adults and 42 for babies, in addition to medical offices, cafeteria, day care center, outdoor playground and classrooms.
