PROJECT: Covenant House "Rights of Passage"

Project Goal: Covenant House New York is a three building complex at 460 West 41st Street that provides temporary shelter to homeless teenagers. Covenant House commissioned Terrence O'Neal Architect LLC to undertake the challenge of completely renovating all three buildings. The major concept of the renovation is "shelter," with a canopy clearly naming the facility, and including lighting and a skylight serving as a beacon at night to youth entering the building. Other functions include recreation facilities and education, but most of all the facility will provide moral support to homeless teenagers.
